Email Friend Contact Author (EntertainWire.Org) – Boca Raton (PRNews) – Final summer exhibition at the Artists’ Guild Images Gallery and ArtWalk located at Mizner Park was greatly supported last Wednesday, August 27th, by many professional artists and members. They came out for their Artists’ Guild, a non-profit auxiliary of the Boca Museum of Art that is currently seeking a permanent home for their future exhibit site. “I adore the Artwalk at Mizner and attend the event every month and it is sad to see this organization of 50 years not have a place to exhibit these beautiful art pieces” said Beatriz Audin, an art lover who drives all the way from Weston to attend the Guild’s Events. Many artists on display at ArtWalk this month was Norm Gitzen and his sculpture “The Siren” a 10 ft tall mermaid caught a lot of attention from passersby stopping to see the huge oceanic tribute surrounded by swordfish and hearts. Other artists exhibiting included Kathryn Carlyle, Norah Silva, Ray Trujillo, Arlene Barton, Roni DiSabello, Anjal TS, Helen Regenstreif, Ralph Papa, and Julie Miller to name a few.
Art lovers packed the Images Gallery later that evening as the top three honors were announced : 1st place winner Ralph Papa for his masterpiece "To Hopper from Papa" also displayed at the Artwalk at Mizner Park. Other participating winning Artists includes: 2nd place honors that was presented to Joan B. Sonnenberg for "War of Attrition") and Libby Reed won 3rd place honors for "Open Heart". New Categories added to this month’s exhibition event included First Place Photography & Digital Art: winner Becky Anderson for "Lighthouse Window” and Juror Recognition Honors was presented to Photographer F.A. Roghaar for "Little House, North Carolina". Other new Categories included, First Place Sculpture that was presented to Lora Ross "Golden Girl" and Juror's Recognition Sculpture: Sue Pelish for her piece entitled "Tools 3". The Artists' Guild last summer Exhibition will be on display until September 27th before they relocate to a new home in Boca or possibly Delray Beach.
