Email Friend Contact Author (EntertainWire.Org) – Telkom Kenya, the country’s incumbent telco, has announced through the voice of CEO Mr Mickael Ghossein, its plans to shift strategy to focus on offering true broadband services.
In fact, after having undergone a net loss of KES10 billion ($125 million approximately) in 2009, the subsidiary of France Telecom is seeking way back to profitability as put it the top manager in these words: “We are now focusing on providing quality services, innovating and providing value for money. Our grand plan is to move the market towards true broadband connectivity, offering speeds of up to 8 mega bits per second,” It is worth mentioning here that the company had encountered severe conditions last year, mainly due to fierce competition by mobile network operators in both voice and broadband that come up with newer technologies such as HSPA and thus revolutionizing the way people communicate in the country. # # #
