DAHLGREN, Va. – 
They say that if you do something you are passionate about, you will in no way work a day in your existence. The great embodiment of this adage is none other than Naval Surface Warfare Centre Dahlgren Division’s (NSWCDD) Acting Deputy Exercise Information Officer and Enterprises Services Department Head Shannon Layton.
“I just appreciate my task,” Layton says with a smile that rivals the solar. “I can’t think about operating any where else.”
Layton began at NSWCDD as a contractor in 2003 right before transitioning to a governing administration civilian place in June 2009.
