Figures from knowledge service provider Adzuna display that vacancies in the subject elevated from 86,550 in January to 91,255 in June. By contrast, from January to July, vacancies throughout all industries slumped from a higher of 1.3m to just over a million.
Positions web-site Indeed documented in June that engineering vacancies have been popular among the most difficult-to-fill roles. Veterinary surgeons topped the listing, but mechanical engineers came 2nd, electrical engineers fourth, civil engineers fifth and industrial engineers seventh.
